GameMaker for Education includes the possibility to export projects to the Sony PlayStation 4. However, to gain access to the PlayStation 4 export you first need to request to become a PlayStation Partner.
This will take you to the Sony Licence Enquiry Form where you can fill out the relevant details and request the PS4 licence. Once you have the licence you will have access to everything you need from Sony Computer Entertainment (ordering dev kits, downloading SDKs and tools, etc).
After you have done this and have access to SCE DevNet, you will need to log in to the DevNet website and go to:
- Development -> Tools & Middleware
- Click Tools & Middleware directory
- Find GameMaker in the Engine Category and click "Confirm developer status"
- Finally, click "Confirm status"
NOTE: PS4 is the only Sony export available in GameMaker. PS3 and Vita will be listed on this page also, but those are for GameMaker: Studio 1.4 only - 1.4 is now deprecated so please do not apply.
This will notify us via email and we shall then contact you through the Helpdesk system.
When we contact you, if you have a YoYo Account associated with the same email address you have registered with as a Sony developer, we will activate the PS4 export. We will also grant you access to the relevant console articles in the "Console Support" section of the helpdesk here.
If you do not have a YoYo Account associated with the same email address you have registered with as a Sony developer we will ask you to create a YoYo Account or let us know of an existing YoYo Account.
Please note that you must not report PS4-specific comments/bugs in any public forum, as per your agreement with the console platform holder.
